Raising up gospel workers
In 2021, Caitlin served as an intern with St Bart’s Kids. She specialised in accessibility with kids as well as studying second year medicine.
In 2020, Jesse Adamson Paroz served as an intern in Production, assisting with video, live-streaming, and a range of related areas.
In 2020, Courtney Feldman served as an intern in the area of music (across all three congregations and for special events/services).
In 2019, Matthew served as an intern with a special project with the parishes commission. He is now ordained and serves at Allora-Clifton Parish.
In 2019, Holly Adamson was employed as our Kids Club intern (1 day/week) and served as part of the broader St Bart’s Kids Team.
In 2018, Amy Norman served as our Children & Families Intern (1 day/week). She now works 30hrs per week as our Lay Minister in Discipleship.
In 2018 and 2019, Michael Calder served as Music and Communications Intern (3 days/wk). Michael then served as Assistant Minister for 3 years.
The purpose of the internship is twofold: (a) to provide a development and discernment opportunity for the intern; and (b) to provide an additional ministry capability to a St Bart’s team. Interns work closely with one of the Ministry Team, contributing to a specifically defined ministry area (or combination of areas). Each intern should seek not only to contribute to their designated ministry area, but also to assist their supervising leader of their relevant department. Internships also include training opportunities, supervision, and processes for regular reflection.
We’re now inviting applications for our 2023 Internship Project. Internships run for 11 months (from February through to the end of December) and provide an opportunity for people to explore their potential interest and call to be a church-based worker in the future.
Potential interns can express their interest by completing the application process and identifying one or two specific areas in which they would like to work. Areas for internship currently open for expression of interest, include: Production (i.e., sound, lighting, video), Communications (i.e., website, social media, printed advertising), Music, St Bart’s Kids (i.e., Sunday school and Crèche, St Bart’s Kids Club, or mainly music), Youth, and Pastoral Care.
We'll open up expressions of interest for 2024 towards the end of 2023. Please email us if you would like to know more.
