On Sunday June 16, we’ll be celebrating 90 years since the very first service of the Church of England in Middle Ridge. Whilst this wasn’t the first service of St Bart’s per se, it was in many ways the beginning of our local church. We’ll have a number of special opportunities to celebrate, but in particular we’ll give thanks to God for his faithfulness over the past 90 years and commit the next 90 years to God! We’ll also have extended opportunities for fellowship, to hear some stories of how God has been at work, and welcome the Archbishop to all of our services. Here are three ways to get involved:
Serve: We’ll be sharing food after each of our services. Please use the clipboards at church or email to sign up to assist at the Breakfast BBQ (after 7.30AM) or the Lunch BBQ (after 9.30AM). 6PM will have a potluck dinner, so please bring something to share.
Invite: If you know someone who has been involved in the life of our church over the years, please do invite them along to share in the celebration. We pray also that many might like to join in to be part of our continuing mission and vision.
Pray: Please be praying that the day will be to God’s glory and grow us in our mission to make and mature disciples of Jesus. Pray also that God will grow our vision for the next 90 years.
