back to the news
It was a great joy on Sunday to celebrate 90 years since the first service of the Church of England in Middle Ridge (on June 10, 1934). We looked back with great thanks for those who had the vision for an Anglican witness and worshipping community in our area, along with those who have served faithfully ever since. We also looked forward, committing the next 90 years to the Lord and (officially) launching our extended mission statement: making, maturing, and MULTIPLYING disciples of Jesus Christ for God's glory. It was also a great joy to welcome Archbishop Jeremy to our morning services who encouraged us in the power of prayer, the unstoppable nature of God's Kingdom, and for us to keep on acting in confidence that God's promises are true. A detailed update of VISION 2025 was provided and each household received a seedling to be planted—reminding us that God is the one who causes the growth. Each household also received a small wooden board etched with our extended mission statement.
Thank you to the incredible team who served in a myriad of ways to make the day such a cause for joy.
