With great thanks to God, the Rev’d Michael Marklew has been appointed Associate Minister to St Bart’s as the lead minister of our church plant in Brisbane (Salisbury). Michael has served as the Senior Minister at Stockton Anglican for the past eight years and is married to Ally with three children: Abby (17), Samuel (15) and Lily (12). 

Michael shared that: 

“We are deeply thankful for this wonderful opportunity to partner with you in the Lord’s work of making, maturing, and multiplying disciples for Jesus in Brisbane. We look forward with great joy to all that God will do as we labour together for his glory! - Colossians 1:28.”

We expect Michael will take up the role in mid-July. He and his family are very much looking forward to coming alongside the community in Salisbury (as part of one church in two locations) to join in with all that God is doing. Please join me in giving great thanks to God and pray for Michael (and the family). Pray for them as they seek to finish well in Stockton, prepare for a new season in ministry, and make Brisbane their home. Pray also that the Lord will prepare our hearts to receive them with joy.
