It is with very mixed feelings that today we farewelled our Youth and Young Adults Minister, Peter—along with Karla and the kids, Grace, Jesse, and Esther. We are so sad to see them go, but also—of course—excited to see how God will continue to be at work in and through them in this next season of ministry.
Peter was actually my first ministry appointment here at St Bart’s, and it has been a great joy to see the ways in which he has grown and developed in faithful service over these past 8+ years in the role. This has included the growing and nurturing of CHARGE Youth on Fridays, along with CHARGE Discussions on Sundays. Pete has also been part of the Kids Club team and served in partnerships as a Resource Church (including with the Mathew Hale Public Library and Toowoomba Anglican School). CHARGE Camps have been a major highlight annually, and it’s amazing to see the youth who have also been raised up to serve.
We’ve been really blessed by God through Pete’s leadership and especially the way that our children and youth teams have worked so closely together. And whilst I will miss Pete (and the family!), I’m also excited for them as he now steps into a broader role. It’s a joy that we can send and commit to praying for them as we all continue in Gospel partnership as Christ’s church. Please be praying for Peter, Karla, and the kids. We give great thanks to God for them and how God has been at work! Please also be sure to sign the card today.
In Christ, Adam
