It was such a joy to gather on Sunday for the first church plant service of St Bart's in Salisbury at the Little Angels Early Learning Centre. We were joined by old friends and new: some with long connections to the area, others who deeply resonate with the mission of our church, and still more who were interested in learning more. With great thanks to God, there were over fifty people gathered (with ten children) spanning generations and also representing different cultures. Of course, this is just the beginning — with much prayer and work ahead — but please do join with us in giving great thanks to God for how he has so marvellously been at work to bring us to this point. Right from the begining, we're longing and praying that this will be a community in which many disciple-making disciples are nurtured and from which we'll continue to take part nurturing church-planting churches. We're starting simply but with clear convictions on who we are in Christ and the mission that he invites us to participate in. Massive thank you to the team who have been patiently (and prayerfully) persevering, the generous support of the whole church, the faithful prayer of so many, and the loving encouragement from friends (near and far).
