Prayer Points for Anglican Overseas Aid

Uganda

Give thanks for Wise Choices for Life and for the crucial work it is carrying out in Uganda, focussing on reproductive health. May the Holy Spirit guide every decision of the leadership and enable more families to be reached with life transforming support. Pray also for wisdom for the ‘Village Saving and Loans Association groups’, that their businesses will flourish and thrive. Ask for a peaceful political transition in the entire country, and for all leaders to act with dignity and respect for their opponents.

Gaza

Give thanks for staff of the Al-Ahli Anglican Hospital who have worked to heal and save lives. Give them strength, as well as opportunity to rest, and may they know Christ as their Lord and Saviour. In the community, please bring healing and restoration, return the sounds of children playing, let parents feel hope, and grandparents peace.

Mozambique

Give thanks also for the work of the Diocese of Nampula, working sacrificially for the hungry and the afflicted. May no-one go hungry or fear where the next meals will come from. As political tension rises, grant wisdom and humility to the country’s leaders, for peace and stability. Pray for reconstruction and for guidance for those who are working to address harmful effects of climate change
