It was such a joy to welcome many from the Tamil community in Toowoomba (and Brisbane) to share the good news of Jesus through Christmas carols, song, dance, drama, and sharing delicious food. It was an incredible evangelistic opportunity, as over 50 who came along don't yet know Jesus, but felt warmly welcomed getting to sing in Tamil. Hong Suk Lee (St Bart's Multicultural Minister) shared a message on how God has come close, and Amy Norman (Director of Discipleship and Training) supported the night.
Each fortnight, a group of Tamil Christians have been meeting to study the Bible and worship in Tamil, led by members of St Bart's, Shalomie Shadrach and Karthik Sivakumar. Please be giving thanks to God for how he been gathering people who speak Tamil to hear the gospel, pray for the continued strengthening and nurturing of this community, and pray for their ongoing witness - that many more would turn to Jesus as their Saviour and Lord.
