back to the news
On November 26, we’ll celebrate our first ever Thanksgiving Sunday. It will be an exciting day as we finish our Jeremiah series and look back with thanks for God’s faithfulness to us as his church. This will be:
1: An opportunity to pray and give thanks for God’s faithfulness to—and through—us this year. We really do have so much to thank God for! We’ll share some key points of praise, give thanks in our prayer, and also have an opportunity to hear of some of the progress of Vision 2025. We’ll also be inviting people to share points of praise.
2: An invitation to make a special gift to support our general giving and/or building fund. There’s no doubt that 2023 has been a financially stretching year for many. As a church, people have been extraordinarily generous! However, we have still tracked behind our budget, leaving us with a shortfall in both our general giving and building fund. We’ve been able to make substantial savings, however, November 26 will be an opportunity to make a one-off gift to help us be in the best financial position for the year ahead and to fulfil VISION 2025. People will be invited (any time in the lead up—or the week after—November 26) to make a special gift to our offerings or building fund. We’ll provide more details closer to the date. Please pray that November 26 will be a wonderful opportunity to be continually shaped as a people of gratitude.
