Warm-Up

1. What are things that people misunderstand about you, that most offend you? 
2. How does that expose what you are tempted to boast about? 

Read Galatians 6:11-14

3. How can we tell Paul wants us to pay attention to this final part of the letter?
4. Why were the Galatians being compelled to be circumcised? What were their motives?
5. What type of persecution may they have been trying to avoid? 
6. Why was circumcision something to boast about or something that could impress others? 
7. What are things people are tempted to boast about to belong or be accepted? 
8. What things are you tempted to boast about to belong or be accepted?
9. What is unexpected and shocking about boasting in the cross of Christ? 
10. How is the cross central to the gospel? Try to recall specific things mentioned in Galatians. 
11. How does the cross change our relationship with the world? How has it personally changed you? 
12. Share three things that are the most important to you. How does Jesus’ death on the cross change your relationship with each one? 
13. What does boasting in the cross of Christ look like? What doesn’t it look like? 
14. How can our lives boast in the goodness and sufficiency of Jesus? 
15. How does the cross of Christ demonstrate our worth?
16. What would it look like for you to grow in boasting in the cross of Christ?

17. What is circumcision and uncircumcision really about? Why don’t they mean anything in the light of Jesus’ death on the cross?
18. What is ‘the new creation’? How does it relate to us today? How does it change our future?
19. How are we made new creatures now? 
20. What is the future new creation we await? How does that give us hope and purpose in life?
21. What are the marks on Paul’s body? How does the Spirit and the new creation give us confidence to embrace living for Jesus, even when it is costly?

Apply What are you tempted to boast in? What might you need to change to boast only in the cross of Christ?
